
12 slices brioche or French bread 1 ½ inches thick – slice a pocket in each and spread with cream cheese and your favourite preserve (marmalade is good, so is peach or strawberry jam)
Recipe Ingredients
10 eggs1 ½ cups whipping cream
Pinch of salt
½ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Recipe Method
- Beat together the above ingredients.
- Soak the bread in the egg mixture until soggy. Sauté in butter until brown in fry pan.
- Place on a pammed cookie sheet. Bake at 350F for 10-12 minutes until golden and bread puffs.
- Dust with icing sugar and serve with syrup or whip cream.
