  • Welcome to the Pepper Muffin Country Inn

Noted for privacy, comfort, cleanliness and convenience the Pepper Muffin Country Inn offers guests rural ambience steps from city convenience.

Established in 1998, the Pepper Muffin has been an icon on Jingle Pot Road in Nanaimo for more than 12 years.  Our Nanaimo bed and breakfast located on Vancouver Island provides the privacy of an inn with the warmth and hospitality of a b and b. Three professionally decorated self contained suites are located in an exclusive wing of this Cape Cod style home situated on six acres of park like setting.

Each of our three suites has either a queen, king or set of extra long twin beds, quality linens, 3 piece en suite with shower, flatscreen TV and phone. From your cozy room you can venture out to the soothing guest dining or lounge areas, and make yourself an evening tea, coffee or hot chocolate.  Our outdoor environment is exceptional.  We offer private patios, greenspace and a guest only outdoor hot tub located under a gazebo and grape arbour.  This patio in summer is a shaded and quiet space to sit back, read a book or just soak up tranquility. In winter the hot tub is serene ~ the crisp air and star lit skies that surround abound. The Millstone River borders our property ~ birds, wildlife and fauna are abundant and frequently visit the property.

This custom built b & b has been featured in such publications as Frommer's Travel Guide and Frommer's website online; the publication, the Best Places to Kiss in the Pacific Northwest, and Reise Know-How Kanada West - a German guide book to travel in BC.

The Pepper Muffin also has the honour of being rated as a top accommodator by TripAdvisor; compliments of guests who have experienced the inn.

The second key word in bed and breakfast is "breakfast" and at the Pepper Muffin breakfast is a tradition ~ a tradition worth savouring. Our breakfast menu and recipes are available to view.

Your hosts, Rich and Jolynn love to travel and do enjoy a round of golf. They have visited countries in Europe, North America and Central America. Both actively work as consultants in finance and organizational development. They have four children and two grandchildren. Having worked for a luxury hotel, Jolynn has an appreciation of what customer's want from the hospitality industry.  Their hope is that the Pepper Muffin provides a guest experience that is both professional and personal ~ surpassing expectation.
